API transparency

Google Ads API Disclosure

The current integration functions, controlled publishing scope, and customer-control safeguards for Google Ads workflows.

Effective date: September 3, 2026

01

Tool identity and purpose

Touch Stone AI Ads Editor is an independently operated campaign planning, review, validation, and reporting workspace developed by Touch Stone Ads Technology Limited. It is intended for advertisers and account managers authorized to work with the relevant Google Ads account.

The product is not a Google product and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, certification, or endorsement by Google.

02

Current implementation status

When the Google Ads connector is configured and the user grants separate authorization, the application can discover accessible accounts and retrieve account, campaign, user-list, and audience-binding data for the client account the user selects. These retrieval and diagnostic operations are read-only.

The current controlled write capability is limited to changing a synced campaign between Enabled and Paused. The user must create a draft, review the selected account and exact before-and-after status, explicitly confirm it, and pass a live Google Ads validation request before the application sends the write. The result is recorded in the client audit history.

03

Supported functions and limits

The connected workflow supports account discovery, tenant-scoped data refreshes, audience diagnostics, and user-confirmed Enabled/Paused campaign status publishing. A live status is re-read immediately before publishing so a stale draft cannot overwrite a newer account change.

This release does not create or delete campaigns and does not write budgets, bids, ad groups, keywords, match types, ad copy, conversion settings, or targeting. No additional resource or action will be represented as supported until it is implemented, protected by an appropriate review flow, and disclosed here.

04

Authorization and account isolation

  1. The user signs in and separately grants explicit Google Ads authorization.
  2. The user selects only an account they own, manage, or are authorized to access.
  3. The service verifies the user and tenant relationship before returning account data.
  4. Customer records and credentials remain logically separated from other customers.
  5. The user can disconnect and revoke authorization to stop new API access.

05

Review and deployment safeguards

Before a supported write, the interface shows the selected customer account, campaign, current status, and requested status. Publishing requires a manager-level workspace role and a separate confirmation of that exact change.

  • No hidden publishing or unrelated account change.
  • No autonomous campaign status change.
  • A validate-only request is sent before the approved write.
  • A stale draft is rejected if the live campaign status has changed.
  • Failures are reported without expanding the authorized scope.
  • Unsupported actions remain under the customer’s control in Google Ads.

06

Data use and credential protection

Google Ads data may be used only for customer-requested configuration, deployment, reporting, security, and support. It is not sold or rented, shared with another customer, or used for an independent advertising or profiling purpose.

OAuth client secrets, developer tokens, refresh tokens, and access tokens must remain server-side, protected by least-privilege controls and encryption where stored. They must not be included in reports, browser storage, or logs intended for customers.

07

User responsibilities and policy compliance

Users must have authority over connected accounts and must comply with applicable law, Google Ads policies, these Terms of Service, and third-party rights. The service must not be used for deceptive, unlawful, infringing, or otherwise prohibited advertising. We may restrict access where abuse or unauthorized use is detected.

08

Support and related policies

Privacy, retention, revocation, and deletion practices are described in the Privacy Policy and Data Management notice. Product-use conditions are described in the Terms of Service.
