Find purchaser audience gaps before acquisition spend is wasted

Shopify Audience Guard is a developing agency workspace for comparing purchaser segments with Google Ads audience bindings. Its purpose is narrow: help an authorized agency user identify missing or stale purchaser exclusions without turning the product into a generic customer data platform.

Organize work by agency, client and connection

Audience Guard separates organizations and clients so that one agency user cannot attach or inspect another organization’s provider account. Connection cards make the current Google Ads and Shopify state visible without exposing provider credentials.

  • Server-side organization role checks
  • Client-scoped provider attachments
  • Safe connection status and normalized provider errors

Build explainable purchaser segments

Segments such as recent purchasers or refunded customers should come from normalized order and refund facts. Each version records the rule used, member count and eligibility boundary so an agency can understand why a customer was included.

Compare segments with campaign bindings

The audit layer compares an approved segment with discovered Google Ads user lists and campaign include or exclude bindings. Findings should name the campaign, segment version and supporting evidence rather than return an unexplained risk score.

Keep synchronization and activation separate

Reading account metadata and preparing an audience are different from attaching that audience to a campaign. The product keeps provider sync, audit, preview and any future activation approval as separate states.

What Audience Guard deliberately does not do

  • It does not mutate campaigns as part of the read-only connector.
  • It does not treat synthetic demo output as evidence about a real advertiser.
  • It does not use AI to invent purchaser membership or consent eligibility.
  • It does not grant cross-organization access when a provider account is discovered.
